Suncar fixed gas analysers

Continuous gas monitoring instruments selected by gas type, measurement range, output signals and operating conditions.

Suncar gas analyser

Technical overview

Suncar fixed gas analysers continuously monitor combustible and toxic gases at industrial facilities, including methane CH4 and hydrogen sulphide H2S.

TYPE

Fixed gas monitoring

Single-channel instruments for continuous gas concentration measurement at the installation point.

GASES

CH4, H2S and other gases

The configuration is selected for the specific gas, measurement range and facility requirements.

SENSOR

Optical or electrochemical

Methane measurement uses optical absorption; H2S measurement uses an electrochemical sensor.

SAMPLING

Diffusion sampling

Natural diffusion enables gas monitoring without complex sample conditioning.

OUTPUTS

4–20 mA, RS-485, relays

Analogue output, Modbus RTU digital communication and volt-free relay contacts for alarms and automation.

PROTECTION

IP66/68 and Ex d

Explosion protection marking: 1Exd [ia Ga] IIC T6...T4 Gb X, for use in hazardous areas.

ENVIRONMENT

-40(-70)...+80 °C

Suitable for indoor and outdoor installation, including high humidity and vibration exposure.

SERVICE LIFE

35,000 hours

12–32 V power supply, mean time between failures of at least 35,000 hours and service life of at least 10 years.

Information needed for selection

Selection considers the gas and range as well as the installation area, signals, environmental rating and project requirements.

01

Gas environment

Combustible, toxic or process gases; monitoring of exposure limits, LEL or process concentration ranges.

02

Configuration

Fixed installation, mounting conditions, cable entries, ingress protection and explosion protection.

03

Integration

Alarms, relay outputs, analogue and digital interfaces, and process control integration.
